Portuguese right-handed player Ruben Freitas was officially presented as a Lincoln player this week. The lively youngster came through the ranks of the Sporting Lisbon academy before plying his trade in Braga and playing a season in Cyprus.
“I’m very happy to be here as this is a good opportunity for me, “ said the 23-year-old Freitas. “Now I hope to help the team get to the Champions League qualifiers again which is my main aim for coming here. I think it is great that Lincoln have won 13 leagues titles in a row and I believe we will do the same by this coming May. I hope to bring that experience and quality to make it happen.”
