Daniel Cifuentes Alfaro was a last-minute signing for Lincoln before the Pepe Reyes Cup. His pedigree is second to none, having been raised in the Real Madrid academy alongside superstars like Iker Casillas, Julio Alvarez and Cesar Navas. ‘Cifu’, as he is known by his fans, even played for Spain at Under-17 level before spending two seasons at Zamora CF and a host of other top clubs. The versatile 35-year-old two-footed right-back, who can play both wings and has spent the last six season split evenly between Cadiz and Huelva.
“Having played in both the first and second divisions he brings a lot of experience to the team and is a very good player,” said Lincoln manager Raul Procopio.
